Police respond to bank robbery in North Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department responded to a bank robbery in North Austin on Monday morning.
APD says the robbery happened in the 7900 block of Shoal Creek Boulevard near Anderson Lane. The call came in just before 9:30 a.m.
Police say the suspect entered the bank, demanded money and brandished a handgun. The suspect then fled the scene on a bike with a blue frame.
The suspect is described as a black male with short black hair who is about 30 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall and has a medium build. He was wearing a green hoodie, black pants and had a black bag.
There were no injuries reported.
