AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - First responders were on scene of a rollover commercial vehicle that may have contained large amounts of propane. It leaked onto the roadway before it was plugged.
According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, first responders were called to the 4220 block of Bee Creek Road on Wednesday around 2 p.m. for a hazmat situation. When units arrived on scene they discovered a commercial vehicle that was involved in a rollover accident.
The driver of the commercial vehicle was transported to Baylor Scott & White Lakeway.
Pedernales Fire Department said the driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. "The initial concern is we want to try to evacuate people from the initial area in case there is a spark or something that may set off the vapors,” Lt. Kyle Swarts, PFD.
