About 200 people displaced following apartment fire in San Marcos

At least six people have been hurt after an apartment fire in San Marcos. It happened at the Iconic Village Apartments and Vintage Pads Apartments.

110 units have been affected and about 200 people have been displaced, according to property management of both Iconic Village and Vintage Pads.

An emergency hotline has been established at 512-754-2291. The San Marcos Activity Center has ben opened as a shelter for those displaced and Central Texas Medical Center is providing meals.

The City of San Marcos says the following roads are closed due to the fire:

LBJ Dr. between Younger St. and Walnut St.
E. Bluebonnet Dr. and Mandalay Ln. 
W. Bluebonnet Dr. and Walnut St.
Clark St. and Walnut St.

The San Marcos River has also closed for Friday due to runoff in the water. The city says signs are being posted near the affected areas and are asking the public to refrain from swimming.
