Noise complaint leads to fatal shooting in Cedar Park

CEDAR PARK, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A noise complaint led to a fatal shooting in Cedar Park this weekend. 

According to the Cedar Park Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Savanna Lane around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 for a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they found 42-year-old Adam Shane Ladner with an apparent gunshot wound. 

He was declared dead at the scene.

During the course of their investigation, police learned that Ladner had a dispute with a neighbor leading up to the shooting concerning a noise compaint. Ladner's neighnor, 65-year-old Larry Wayne Smith, has been arrested and charged with murder, according to police. 

The Cedar Park Police Department says further details remain under investigation at this time.
