Police identify motorcyclist killed in collision
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department has identified the motorcyclist killed in North Austin as 36-year-old Daryl Wayne Anderson Jr.
Anderson was riding a 2018 white Harley Davidson motorcycle with two other motorcyclists heading east on Howard Lane, near Dessau Road, around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7 when he hit a curb, lost control and was thrown from the bike, according to police. The motorcycle left the roadway and flipped several times in the center grassy median.
Excessive speed is not considered to be a factor.
The driver was not wearing a helmet.
