Police investigating after body found in Lake Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A body was found in Lake Austin on Wednesday.
First responders with the Austin Fire Department and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services were called to the Pennybacker Bridge around 4:30 p.m. A caller had told dispatch that there was a body in the water under the bridge, downstream of the boat ramp.
First responders were able to recovery a body from the water, according to the Austin Fire Department. It is unclear at this time if the victim was male or female.
The Austin Police Department will be taking the lead on the investigation.
