Police search for suspect in burglary of RIO Night Club

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department is searching for a suspect after RIO Night Club was burglarized early Monday morning. 

APD says an unknown suspect entered the club, located on Rio Grande Street and 6th Street, around 4:45 a.m. The suspect then allegedly stole a safe that contained a large amount of cash. Police say he was in a car that was possibly a newer dark gray Renegade-model Jeep.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, who is between 20 to 30 years old and has a thin to average build. The case remains under investigation by the APD Commercial Burglary Unit.
