TCSO identifies man found dead in Del Valle ditch, investigation underway

The Travis County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who was found dead in a ditch. 31-year-old Johnny Cardenas was located in the 9800 block of Blocker Lane on Wednesday after deputies were called to the area to investigate a suspicious odor. 

When crews arrived on scene, the body of a Hispanic man was found. 

There are suspicious circumstances surrounding Johnny Cardenas' death, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office. An investigation is being conducted to learn more by the homicide unit.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says they are already following leads.
