Taylor Couple dead in murder-suicide; husband leaves note saying "sorry"

TAYLOR, Texas - Williamson County deputies say a Taylor woman was fatally shot by her husband who then killed himself Monday morning.

Authorities identified the couple as Ryan and Jessica Grace. Deputies say Ryan Grace's father discovered their bodies.

Deputies say Ryan sent a text message to his father saying he was upset about the way things were going in his marriage.

The text asked for Ryan's father to go to the couple's home and check on them.

Deputies say at 12:30 Monday morning, he discovered dead from a gunshot wound in the living room and Jessica Grace dead of a gunshot wound in the bedroom.

Deputies say Ryan shot Jessica then himself.

The two had one child together. Jessica had two from a prior marriage. No children were home at the time.

Captain Fred Thomas says Ryan left a note.

"He loved his children and he was sorry for the way things were ending." Captain Thomas said.

Ryan was 37. Jessica was 43.

According to Jessica's Facebook page they had been married since last June.
