Tennis champ and long time Austinite Andy Roddick continues to give back and help local kids through his foundation and last night the Andy Roddick Foundation held its annual gala to help raise money for the work it does.
ARF helps low income youth in Austin through afterschool and summer learning and enrichment programs.
As Matt Davis, who helped co-host the gala with his wife jewelry designer Kendra Scott, says, "It's one thing to leave a legacy on the court but he's (Roddick) leaving a legacy on society and that's even bigger."
Roddick and wife Brooklyn Decker walked the blue carpet for the event at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater along with radio host Bobby Bones and Bones's "Dancing with the Stars" partner Sharna Burgess.
Bones is a close of friend of Roddick and one of the major supporters of ARF. He and the rest of those on the carpet spoke about the importance of helping kids find what they're passionate about and reaching their potential.
A live auction raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and after the auction ended country superstar Dierks Bentley took the stage.
