German-Texan heritage events at LBJ state park

The LBJ state park is having a special weekend where they will be discussing the soon to extinct German- Texan dialect. This is a language spoken by early German settlers in the Hill Country and is expected to be extinct by 2040. They want people to learn about it, and if people speak it, they are asking them to come to the event.
