"I Live Here, I Give Here" aims to give back to community

After a busy weekend of holiday shopping, today celebrates the global movement of Giving Tuesday. 

Giving Tuesday is an annual charity-driven event that serves as a time for people across the world to give back after the consumer-fueled events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

“I Live Here, I Give Here” was named the official community leader in the central Texas region. The goal on this year’s Giving Tuesday will be one million actions for good.

This includes monetary donations, actions for change and volunteering.

Several notable non-profits, including Austin Pets Alive! will be at the Livestrong headquarters from 2-5 p.m. on East Sixth Street. All Austin residents are encouraged to come out.
