Kendra Scott fundraiser for metastatic breast cancer research
AUSTIN, Texas - Jeweler Kendra Scott has designed a collection that gives back and this weekend you have the chance to help save lives of thousands of women.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and October 13 is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day as well as Holley Day.
Scott started Holley Day in honor of her best friend who died from metastatic breast cancer in 2016. On October 13, 20% of all proceeds in-store will benefit Inheritance of Hope which supports Legacy Retreats for families with a parent facing metastatic breast cancer.
Scott has also designed a special collection which 20% of every purchase benefits their Breast Cancer Research Foundation grant. Also for every one item bought one item will be gifted to a woman affected by cancer.
Experts say that 99% of women who are diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer will not survive but Scott and others believe that the money raised for research will help lead to better treatment and eventually a cure.
