1 arrested in connection to Lee County shooting
LEE COUNTY, Texas - One person was arrested in connection to a shooting in Lee County, officials said.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, on Dec. 19, around 12:19 p.m., deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 2100 block of County Road 217 in South Lee County.
Shortly after, another 911 call was received reporting a gunshot victim being taken away from the scene by a vehicle.
When deputies arrived, one person was arrested without incident.
The victim was driven to the Lee County Law Enforcement Center where he was treated by EMS and taken by a helicopter for more treatment.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is conducting the investigation with the assistance of the Texas Rangers.
There is no danger to the public.
