2 people dead, 1 critically injured in East Austin house fire

The Austin Fire Department says that two people have died and another is critically injured after a house fire in East Austin.

The Austin Fire Department says a third person has died after a house fire in East Austin.

The fire happened at a home in the 2900 block of East 12th Street. Six people were in the home at the time. Two people died at the scene and three people suffered minor injuries.

A third person was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but officials say she died on February 19.

The exact identities of the victims have not been released but officials say the victims are a 54-year-old female, a 58-year-old male, and a 91-year-old female.

Foul play is not suspected and officials say the home did not appear to have power at the time when firefighters and the cause is still under investigation.
