Half of the Llano Police Department has been placed on paid suspension, including the Chief of Police Kevin Ratliff, according to the Llano County News Wire.

On Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, Chief of Police Kevin Ratliff, Sargeant Jared Latta and Patrol Officer Aimee Shannon were placed on paid suspension pending an ongoing investigation. Details to the investigation have not been released.

This comes after Officer Grant Harden was placed on paid suspension in November after a grand jury issued a 6 count indictment. The most recent suspensions aren't believed to be related to the same incident as Harden.

According to the Llano Police website, there are eight full time employees. Four of them are now currently on paid suspension.

The Llano County District Attorney Sonny McAffee's office and the Texas Rangers are investigating officers with Llano Police Department.
