AUSTIN, Texas - Governor Greg Abbott has signed legislation in response to the February winter storms into law.
The legislation will reform the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and weatherize and improve the reliability of the state's power grid.
Officials hope the legislation will address some of the deadly problems that left millions in the cold.
