Additional city services, facilities in Pflugerville to reopen beginning June 16

The City of Pflugerville will be reopening additional city services and facilities beginning on Tuesday, June 16.

The following services and facilities will be reopening:

  • athletic fields, including 1849 Park
  • basketball and volleyball courts
  • the beach, playground, pavilion, boat ramp and fishing piers at Lake Pflugerville
  • lap and open swim at Gilleland Creek Pool by reservation

The Pflugerville Animal Shelter will reopen to the public and resume normal operations. However, the shelter will not be accepting feral cats over three months until further notice.

The library will begin providing curbside care kits, a modified version of the Care Cabinet, will personal hygiene products for those in need.

The city says all visitors to reopened facilities are required to wear a mask or face covering and practice social distancing. Visitors are asked to follow any signage, floor markings, and capacity restriction to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Public lobbies, including the Recreation Center, Library, City Hall, Development Services, Public Works, and the Pflugerville Justice Center will remain closed until further notice. For all modified City services and reopened facilities, visit the city's website.
