AFD puts out vehicle fire in South Austin

The car caught fire around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the southbound I-35 frontage road near Stassney Lane.

A major car fire caused major traffic issues in South Austin.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15 on the southbound I-35 frontage road near Stassney Lane.

Firefighters arrived to find this car fully engulfed in flames.

The Stassney exit and the service road both had to be shut down while crews put the fire out.

No injuries were reported.
