AFD on scene of elevator rescue downtown

AUSTIN, Texas - AFD crews are responding to an elevator rescue in downtown Austin.

AFD reported that crews are responding to a rescue task force in the 100 block of East Second Street, saying that two passengers are stuck in a blind shaft elevator.

The fire department asks drivers to avoid the area and allow for parking of AFD units at the scene.
