AUSTIN, Texas - A possible, major breakthrough was announced this week in the battle against Alzheimer's disease.
Its estimated more than $5 million people currently suffer from the disease.
Wednesday, at a conference in Chicago a New England based biotech company and, a Japanese drug maker announced their clinical trials on a new drug called BAN- 2401 have helped some Alzheimer's patients perform better on cognitive test.
FOX-7 Austin’s Rebecca Thomas talked to Dr. Tom Zoda who attended the recent conference and is a board member with the Capitol of Texas Alzheimer’s Association about the medical breakthrough.
