APD identifies man killed in fatal North Austin crash
AUSTIN, Texas - A man killed in a fatal crash on E. Rundberg Lane in May has been identified by Austin police.
APD says a preliminary investigation shows that 55-year-old Roderick Davis was laying down in the right lane of E. Rundberg Lane before 3 a.m. on May 11 for an undetermined reason. He was then struck by an unidentified vehicle.

APD responded to the scene after receiving several reports of a body in the roadway. Officers found Davis, who was then transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he died a short time later.
APD says there is no vehicle description available at this point in the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8544. Tips can also be submitted by downloading APD's mobile app, Austin PD, available on iPhone and Android.

APD says this is Austin's 35th fatal traffic crash of the year, resulting in 37 fatalities. This time last year, there were 31 traffic fatalities.
