APD: Search for suspect wanted for attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child, kidnapping incident
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect who is wanted for an attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child and kidnapping incident that happened on Thursday, January 30 in East Austin.
A six-year-old female child was attacked by an unknown male at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of East MLK Blvd around 6:30 p.m., according to police. A neighbor witnessed the attack and intervened to stop the suspect from hurting the child any further.
Police are describing the suspect as a black male in his mid-twenties. He is also believed to be around 6' 2" - 6' 5" with a thin build.
