Apple TV+ premieres portion of 'WeCrashed' at SXSW 2022

A portion of Apple TV+'s new series premiered at this year's SXSW.

The series "WeCrashed" premieres March 18 on Apple TV+.

The series is based on the podcast "WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork," according to Apple TV+. Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto star as Rebekah and Adam Neumann, whose chaotic love story fueled one of the world’s most valuable startups.

Anne Hathaway stars in 'WeCrashed' as Rebekah Neumann, the wife of WeWork founder Adam Neumann who's played by Jared Leto. The series follows not only the two's relationship, but also the rise and fall of Adam's startup in this series based on a podcast and real life events.

WeWork reportedly grew from a single coworking space into a global brand worth $47 billion in under a decade. Then, in less than a year, its value plummeted. What happened?

The series was created and written by Lee Eisenberg ("Little America") and Drew Crivello.

SXSW 2022: Creators of 'WeCrashed' on the importance of telling the story of WeWork

Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello are the creators, executive producers, co-showrunners and writers of the Apple TV+ series 'WeCrashed' which follows the rise and demise of the startup WeWork. The two touch on why the story should be told, and what lessons can be learned from it.

A portion of the series will premiere at this year’s SXSW. The WeCrashed premiere will be 3:30 pm—4:30 pm CT at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, March 12.

Jared Leto plays the founder of the startup WeWork in Apple TV+'s newest series. 'WeCrashed' is the story of the rise and rapid decline of WeWork. The series premiered at SXSW on March 12.
