Annual Armadillo Christmas Bazaar kicks off at Palmer Events Center
AUSTIN, Texas - The 49th annual Armadillo Christmas Bazaar kicked off Saturday at Austin's Palmer Events Center.
The holiday art festival has been happening for nearly 50 years and is a chance for local artists as well as musicians to showcase their work.
Around 200 artists are displaying their unique creations, from fine art to handmade gifts. Thirty bands will also be on hand performing over the next week and a half.
"For generations now, we have been able to be an Austin tradition, and we are so proud of that fact," said Stephanie Avant, assistant producer-staffing coordinator. "We're proud to bring live music, great hand-made art, and that sense of community during the holiday season to the Austin area."
