ATCEMS: Person trapped in drainage tunnel system for "2 days"

AUSTIN, Texas - UPDATE: The person has been rescued from the drainage system and is being evaluated by medics. 

According to ATCEMS, a person has been trapped in a drainage tunnel system for two days. 

ATCEMS and Austin Fire are on scene at 8400 block of Research blvd. 

The person is conscious and alert and first responders are currently trying to locate the original point that the person entered the drainage system. 

The City of Austin Public Works is currently on its way to the scene to assist. 

The search team has made contact with the patient and are on the way out with him.
