ATX Living Room Picnic event to help support local businesses & musicians

An event has been set up for Saturday, April 4 for Austinites to remain physically separate but still hang out together and help support local businesses and musicians affected by the cancellation of South by Southwest (SXSW) and closures due to the coronavirus.

To participate in the ATX Living Room Picnic, people are asked to purchase a meal from a restaurant, grab a bottle of wine or growler of beer and then spread out a blanket and safely enjoy from the comfort of your home.

The SIMS Foundation has created a special playlist for the event featuring a lineup of Austin artists. You can help support local artists by donating here.

You can get a full list of participating restaurants here and you're asked to tag your favorite business and use the #atxlivingroompicnic or by tagging @atxlovelocal.
