Central Texas Food Bank hosts drive-thru distribution event at Del Valle High School

The Central Texas Food Bank prepared more than 1,500 emergency meal boxes.

Austin FC and Yeti Coolers have joined together to host a virtual food drive for the Central Texas Food Bank. The local food bank has been dealing with an increasing demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both organizations also announced they would be matching donations for the first $27,000 raised, in honor of Austin FC being the 27th club in Major League Soccer.

"As Austin FC, it is our duty to show up for the city we love. Now more than ever, as thousands of Central Texans find themselves in challenging times, the Central Texas Food Bank needs our help," Austin FC explains on the virtual food drive website. "So we’re teaming up with YETI and inviting you to join us."

The website says the top 10 donors will receive one of YETI’s new Roadie 24 Hard Coolers. Additionally, every donor who gives at least $25 will receive a YETI discount code for their next online purchase.
