Austin ISD to hold open house for early college high school program
AUSTIN, Texas - Austin ISD is holding an open house later this month on their early college high school program.
AISD says the ECHS program allows high school students to take college courses with no fees for tuition, textbooks or transportation.
Students can graduate from the program with their high school diploma and an associate's degree, says AISD, completely free.
According to the AISD website, the ECHS program is hosted through a partnership with Austin Community College and gives students the opportunity to earn up to 60 hours of college credit.
The Open House is set for Saturday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at seven ECHS campuses across the district:
- Akins ECHS
- Crockett ECHS
- Eastside Memorial ECHS
- LBJ ECHS
- Navarro ECHS
- Northeast ECHS
- Travis ECHS
Families of prospective high school students are invited to learn all about the program.
