Austin man dead following early morning shooting
AUSTIN, Texas - An early Saturday morning has left one man dead in South Austin.
Officers with the Austin Police Department responded to the 3800 block of Alexandria Drive for a call of multiple shots fired around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Police arrived on scene and found a 59-year-old David Dunn with extensive trauma that included a gunshot wound. EMS arrived on scene to attend to the victim but the man succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at 5 a.m.
Police also stated that this incident appears to be isolated to the individuals involved as Homicide detectives and Crime Scene specialists process the scene. Detectives have identified most of the people involved and are in the process of locating and interviewing them.

The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
