Austin police arrest suspect in downtown Austin shooting

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department has arrested a suspect in a shooting Tuesday morning in downtown Austin.

APD says officers were working a shooting/stabbing hotshot call in the 1000 block of Clermont Avenue near I-35. The call came in around 11:12 a.m.

A man was transported to a local hospital with injuries, but the extent was unknown. APD reported the arrest just before 4:30 p.m.

APD says this is an ongoing investigation and that there is no further information at this time.
