Austin police identify man killed in single-vehicle crash on SH 130

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin police have identified a man killed in a single-vehicle crash on SH 130 near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

APD says Mario Estrada, 59, was driving a red 2015 Dodge Charger northbound on SH 130 on Jan. 17 just after 6:30 a.m. when he lost control and left the roadway, coming to rest against a concrete bridge support in the center median.

Estrada was pronounced dead at the scene and APD says he was wearing his seatbelt.

This is Austin's sixth fatal traffic crash of the year, resulting in six fatalities. At this time last year, APD says there were three traffic fatalities.
