Austin police investigating aggravated sexual assault in Northeast Austin
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department Sex Crimes Unit is asking for the public's help in investigating an aggravated sexual assault.
The assault is estimated to have happened between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.
APD says a woman was forced into an SUV at knifepoint while entering her apartment. The suspect then drove her to a location near the 7000 block of Grand Canyon Drive in Northeast Austin and sexually assaulted her. The woman was eventually released and called 9-1-1.

The suspect is described as:
- Dark-skinned black male
- Approximately 5’9” with a slim build
- Clean-shaven with a flat-top style haircut
- Unknown clothing
- Spoke both English and Spanish
The suspect vehicle is described as a possibly black, mid-90s, two-door Chevrolet Blazer.
