APD identifies man killed on Riverside Drive
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department says it is investigating a suspicious death on Riverside Drive at Willow Creek Drive in Southeast Austin.
Austin 911 received a call just before 12:30 p.m. of a man injured, bleeding extensively, and having trouble breathing. The caller said someone was applying pressure to the injury.

When officers arrived, they found a citizen attempting life-saving measures on a homeless man, later identified as Craig Robinson, with obvious trauma.
EMS and fire crews arrived on the scene and took over resuscitation efforts, but despite their best efforts, Robinson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene

APD says based on preliminary information, this appears to be an isolated incident between two acquaintances and detectives have identified those involved and are continuing to investigate.
The Travis County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
