Suspect arrested in Austin shooting that injured 2

Police have arrested a man they say shot two people at a house in north Austin.

What We Know: Alexis Sevilla, 21, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection to a shooting on Shadowview Drive earlier this month.

On Dec. 21, police were called to the home where they found two men had been shot in the arms.

Sevilla told police one of the men in the home had stolen a jacket and other items from him.

According to an arrest warrant, Sevilla got into a "verbal altercation" with the victim and shot at him. The victim closed the door and Sevilla said he continued to shoot.

The gunfire hit another man inside of the home.

An arrest warrant affidavit shows that traffic cameras were used to track down the car used in the shooting.

Officers eventually found Sevilla and documents say he had a gun matching the description of the one used the in shooting.
