Man killed after being hit by tractor trailer on upper deck of I-35

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department has identified the man who was killed after he was hit by a tractor-trailer on the upper deck of I-35.

APD says 24-year-old Ian Lewis was hit in the 3800 block of North I-35 southbound on August 27 at around 12:52 a.m. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Police say the driver of the tractor-trailer did not stop to render aid.

Austin-Travis County EMS said that two other people involved in the crash were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
