Austin and Travis County leaders discuss their plans for dealing with adverse weather this winter.
AUSTIN, Texas - Leaders in Austin are preparing for the worst that winter has to offer.
Mayor Kirk Watson, Travis County Judge Andy Brown and other leaders held a news conference on Wednesday afternoon to talk about the preparation efforts for winter weather.

The press conference was held immediately following a winter weather preparedness tabletop exercise.
The training exercise provided an opportunity for city and county leaders to review operational challenges faced during winter weather and coordinating response.
