Lake Walter E. Long boat ramps reopen
The public boat ramps at Lake Walter E. Long in Austin reopened on Thursday thanks to higher lake levels due to the recent rain.
AUSTIN, Texas - The boat ramp at Walter E. Long Lake will reopen this week after being closed for almost four months due to low lake levels.
The Austin Parks and Recreation Department announced on X (formerly Twitter) that public access to the boat ramp at the lake will reopen at noon on Thursday, Jan. 25.
