Body found in a creek in downtown Austin

The Austin Police Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a creek in downtown Austin on Thursday night. The body was discovered around 5:30 in Waller Creek, just behind the Convention Center. 

According to first responders, the man was dead at the scene. He was found in the water next to Palm Park. 

It is unclear at this time if the man was another flooding victim or if the death is suspicious.
