Man 'behaving erratically' dies after being pulled from Lady Bird Lake: APD
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department is investigating a deceased person in downtown Austin near Lady Bird Lake.
APD said in a Sunday afternoon briefing that Austin 911 received a call around 2:02 p.m. Sept. 29 about a man waving his arms, punching and behaving erratically at the lake near Cesar Chavez and Nueces Street. The caller also reported the man entered the water and did not resurface.
Austin fire crews responded to the scene at 2:07 p.m. and found the man and pulled him from the water. AFD and ATCEMS crews attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced deceased at 3:11 p.m.

APD says there is no indication of trauma or harm to his body and no foul play is suspected.
