Buda murder person-of-interest in custody
A person of interest has been taken in to custody after a man was shot to death in Buda early Thursday morning. It happened at a travel center off of I-35.
BUDA, Texas - A man was found dead of gunshot wounds at a Buda gas station overnight, and the Hays County Sheriff's Office says a suspect is in custody.
Investigators say they were called to the Insta-Fuel Travel Center on I-35 in Buda for a report of an unconscious man by the gas pumps around 12:05 a.m. Thursday morning.
When deputies arrived, they found a man dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

The convenience store’s surveillance cameras captured the incident, and deputies were able to identify the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored four-door Chevrolet pickup truck with damage to the front passenger side bumper.
Identifying information of the suspect vehicle was sent to patrol deputies. At approximately 7 p.m. Thursday evening, a patrol deputy observed the vehicle and attempted to pull it over. After a short vehicle and foot pursuit, the suspect, 27-year-old Omar Guadalupe Galvan-Ochoa, was located and arrested.

Galvan-Ochoa was charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and First Degree Murder. Further charges may be pending.
