Buda Public Library to close to public, volunteers due to coronavirus concerns

The Buda Public Library will be closing this week due to concerns about the coronavirus.

The library will be closing Wednesday, March 18 to the public and volunteers. The library says they will continue curbside service and computers will be available by appointment.

"This decision was made after careful consideration for the public’s health and well-being," says the library. "The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus."

The library also says no fines will accrue on any items while the library is closed.

"We are encouraging residents to remain calm and continue to take preventative actions," says the library. "This includes washing your hands, staying home if you’re sick, and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces."

The library is also reminding people it has many resources that can be accessed from home through their Buda Library at Home page, featuring activities, programs, databases and more.
