Capacity increased at Typhoon Texas Waterpark under next phase of Texas reopening

With Phase III taking effect, Typhoon Texas in Pflugerville has now increased its capacity from 25% to 50%.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the third phase of his plan to reopen the state on June 3 and it immediately went into effect. All Texas businesses were allowed to operate at 50% capacity with limited exceptions.

Water parks begin to open across Texas

As more businesses begin to open across Texas, water parks can open their doors.

Typhoon Texas opened Memorial Day weekend with several changes including a new online reservation system, virtual lines via smart wristband technology, and separated seating areas to ensure social distancing.

"It’s an exciting time for families in Pflugerville and the surrounding area to come out and enjoy the fresh, clean, outdoor experience," said Ty Weitzel, General Manager of Typhoon Texas said on the waterpark's first day back open after being closed for months. "We’ve increased social distancing measures from our tables to the markers on the ground. We’ve also increased sanitation stations throughout the facility to make you as a customer and us as a staff to all feel safe."

Typhoon Texas in Pflugerville gears up for planned Friday re-opening

Guests will have to go to the water park's website and reserve a time and date to visit.

Employees who are not able to keep a six-foot distance from guests are wearing a mask as a part of the state’s guidelines.

The waterpark is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and reservations are required to enter. You can get details and make a reservation at the Typhoon Texas website.
