CapMetro app will retire in March 2025 after system update
AUSTIN, Texas - The CapMetro app is going away and riders will soon have to use tap-to-pay. This is part of a sweeping system update by CapMetro.
The transit company said they intend to retire their current app in March 2025. Taking its place will be two new applications: the UMO app for riders to pay and the Transit's app to plan trips.
Digital passes currently in the CapMetro app need to be used or exchanged before the migration.
