CapMetro to retire old app in 2025

The CapMetro app is going away and riders will soon have to use tap-to-pay. This is part of a sweeping system update by CapMetro.

The CapMetro app is going away and riders will soon have to use tap-to-pay. This is part of a sweeping system update by CapMetro.

The transit company said they intend to retire their current app in March 2025. Taking its place will be two new applications: the UMO app for riders to pay and the Transit's app to plan trips.

Digital passes currently in the CapMetro app need to be used or exchanged before the migration.

Riders that would like to hear more about these changes can attend a series of virtual and public meetings next month:
