CapMetro, UT Austin cancel UT shuttle routes through Spring Break

CapMetro has announced, in coordination with the University of Texas at Austin, that the company will stop running all UT Shuttle routes starting today, March 13. 

CapMetro says it is working closely with Austin Public Health, and that the public transit company is aware of recent developments in the coronavirus situation in Austin.  

The UT shuttles will be suspended through Spring Break, CapMetro says.

UT Austin extends spring break

The University of Texas is expected to address today all issues relating to coronavirus. FOX 7 Austin's Jacqueline Sarkissian has details on what the school is doing and also speaks to one student who shares his thoughts.

The company is also asking anyone who feels sick to not use their services, remain at home, and to follow health guidelines.
