A "Suspicious Circumstances Surrounding Missing Person" case in Cedar Park is now being treated as a homicide, according to Cedar Park Police.

Cedar Park Police responded to call on Thursday afternoon about a concerned family member who said they haven't heard or seen from Amanda "Mandi" Gordon.

Officers responded to the address at 2505 Cypress Lane to conduct a welfare check on Gordon and her children. Officers made contact with Gordon's common-law husband, Roy Byrd who did not cooperate and allow officers entry into the residence.

Over concerns about the explanation of Gordon's whereabouts and for the safety of her children, the Central Texas Regional Swat Team used forced entry to get into the address.

The minors were safely removed from the residence and placed into the custody of family members.

After a search of the home, Byrd was taken into custody and is currently facing drug-related charges.

Multiple agencies including the Texas Rangers and Texas Game Wardens have been actively investigating the case since Thursday night. Based upon the investigation and information obtained, police believe that Gordon is deceased. Police are now treating the case as a homicide and are attempting to find Gordon's body.

The investigation is expected to continue for the next few days at the 2505 Cypress Lane address.
