AUSTIN, Texas - The Central Texas Food Bank is holding its third emergency food distribution event to help those struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those who attend today's drive-thru distribution will receive both a food and hygiene box. Distribution begins at 9 a.m. and goes until noon.
Drivers are asked to enter at the north side of the facility, from the eastbound 290 Frontage Road between Brodie and Westgate. You're asked to stay in your care and volunteers will assist. No walk-ups will be allowed.
The food box will contain 28 pounds of non-perishable staples which could include items like peanut butter, brown rice, canned tuna and chicken, and canned fruit.
The hygiene kit contains items like shampoo, shaving essentials, baby wipes, and toothpaste.
