AUSTIN, Texas - We hope you got out and enjoyed the somewhat clear skies this afternoon because there won’t be much sunshine or blue sky for the next several days.
Starting tonight moisture from the Gulf of Mexico moves in, bringing fog and chances for a few showers in the morning.
Tomorrow afternoon will be cloudy with off and on rain showers. Temperatures will be pretty nice due to the GOM influence and should hang in the low to mid-70s.
A cold front brings heavier rain showers Monday around noon and then hangs around through the rest of the day.
Thunderstorms are possible on Monday with an influx of upper-level jet stream energy.
No severe weather is expected, but a few thunderstorms could be loud and produce very heavy rain.
Finally, the main weather system gets to texas and brings widespread light rain and chilly temperatures.
The final cold front will move through central texas Wednesday morning bringing a final bout of locally heavy rain before everything clears out and Thursday through the weekend look, seasonably chilly, but dry and nice.
