The Hill Country will be under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 a.m. Jan. 10. According to the National Weather Service, additional ice accumulation of up to five hundredths of an inch is possible on bridges, elevated surfaces, trees, and metal objects.

There also may be a band of snow flurries across the northern Hill Country near the end of the precipitation overnight to early Friday morning. Slick roads are forecast, leading to minor travel impacts, says the NWS.
